Class 109 Apparatus for stranding circular electric conductors consists of a rotating plate having a concentric series of holes, the series corresponding in number and location to those of the layers of the component wires, guide rings rotating concentrically with the plate and a fixed die with an aperture cross-section equal to the sum of the crosssections of the wires before drawing. Circles C', C<SP>2</SP>, C<SP>3</SP> of wires from supply bobbins on cages rigidly attached to a plate P pass through apertures P<SP>1</SP>, P<SP>2</SP>, P<SP>2</SP> in the plate, the wires of the outer circle C<SP>3</SP> contacting a strip of oiled cloth N, and then the circles C', C<SP>2</SP> through rings A<SP>1</SP> A<SP>2</SP> rigidly attached to and rotating with the plate P before being assembled together with the ring C<SP>3</SP> around a core wire by a die F, preferably as shown in Fig. 3, to form a cable C having layers of wires laid in the same direction with the same pitch.
