Classes 79(3) and 136 (3) In a motor-cycle or the like comprising a fuel tank 1 with a tunnel 2 at its bottom engaging round part of the frame, parts of the walls of the tunnel project beyond the front and rear of the tank and are secured to or bear against the steering head 5 at the front and the frame or a sheathing panel serving as a frame or support part at the rear. The walls of the tunnel are formed of a U-shaped plate which projects at its end parts 3, 4 beyond the front and rear of the tank. The front part 3 is made of part circular shape and partially embraces the steering head 5. The part 3 may be of resilient or pre-stressed construction. Rubber may be vulcanized to the inside of this part 3. A screw 6 connects the part 3 to a frame member 7. The rear parts 4 of the tunnel walls are secured by screw connections 8 (Fig. 4) to two opposite straps 9 which are welded to the frame member 7. Elastic inserts 9a are interposed between the shanks of the bolts and the respective holes in the tunnel walls. The rear end of the part 4 abuts against the edge 12 of a sheathing panel 13. An elastic insert may be provided at this abutment point. For stiffening purposes a transversely disposed bush may be welded to the part 4 and longitudinally extending ribs 11 (Fig. 3) may be formed in the walls of the tunnel.
