Abstract
818,107. Moulding fibrous articles. BRODRENE HARTMANN A. S. Feb. 27, 1957, No. 6634/57. Class 87(2). Relates to a pulp-moulding machine comprising a rotatable carrier 18 for suction dies 38 which are moved through a vat 40 containing the pulp, and a second rotatable carrier 20 with transfer dies 42 which remove the blanks formed on the suction dies and transfer them to a third rotatable carrier 22, the dies on the second carrier being pivotally mounted and controlled by a roller 46 co-operating with a cam 48. According to the invention the cam is built up of several successive, mutually adjustable sections, to avoid bad mating between the dies due to inaccuracies in the position of the centrelines of the shafts on which the carriers rotate. In the form shown, six separate cam sections 70-80 are formed with base plates 82 which are adjustably connected to an underlying ring 84 by means of screws 86 which pass through oblong slots 88 in the base plates. When the sections are adjusted they slide along the ring 84 guided by projections 92. The ring 84 is made in two parts for assembly around the shaft 14. Each roller 46 is mounted on an angle lever 56 which, through a link 64, pivots a bracket 68 carrying each transfer die 42, about the carrier 20.
