Abstract

1293415 Moulding pulp slurry KEYES FIBRE CO 29 Sept 1970 [29 Sept 1969] 46170/70 Heading B5A [Also in Division B8] Apparatus for moulding nestable trays from a pulp slurry so that alternate trays have differently positioned anti-jamming protrusions, (see Division B8), comprises open-face moulds 32, 34 mounted on a rotatable frame 30 so as to be connected in sequence to a source of suction as they pass through the slurry 42 and a source of pressure where they meet rotatable transfer moulds 52, also connected to pressure and suction so as to be able to accept the damp trays and deposit them on a conveyer 64 which passes them through a dryer 68 and to a stacking mechanism 70. Alternate moulds 32 and 34 have dissimilar portions to produce the differently positioned anti-jamming protrusions (22), Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown), in sequence.
