Class 52(2) A bed settee has a foldable mattress frame 1, 3, 4, 2, the head section 1 being pivoted at 5 on the settee frame and the foot section 2 taking a rearwardly sloping position when folded and being supported when unfolded by a back rest frame 7 fixed or pivoted thereon. A sponge rubber or spring-filled overlay 11 is fixed to the foot section and supports it when folded and loose seat and back cushions 12 of the same thickness complete the overlay for the whole mattress. Legs 8 pivoted to the section 4 are automatically folded by links 9 and struts 10 pivoted to the settee frame support the section 3.
