Class 139 In a self-winding watch the rotor 1 carries a pinion 2, Fig. 1, which meshes with a change pinion 3 which, in accordance with the direction of movement of the rotor 1 meshes with one or other of two intermeshing gears 8, 9 in the winding train. The pivots 4 of the domed change pinion 3, Fig. 6, may be located in apertures 10 in plates 11, 12. The ends 5 and 6, Fig. 1 of the apertures form stationary stops which limit the movement of the change pinion 3, which is of a light metal or of a synthetic plastic. An arcuate or toothed member 7 or 7<11>, Figs. 1 and 5, guides the pinion 3 in its change over movement.
