Abstract
815,855. Mounting printing surfaces. BARTON, J. Feb. 6, 1958 [Feb. 6, 1957], No. 4102/57. Class 100(2) A mount for a printing block includes two plates 1, 2 secured together by a bolt 3 and nut 6 so as to be capable of limited movement with respect to each other while in face contact, but which can be locked in a desired relative position by the nut 6 which is located in a recess 5 in the plate 2. The recess 5 opens to one side of the plate 2 so that a key or rod' 8 can be inserted into the recess edgewise of the plate and into engagement with depression 7 on the edge of the nut 6 thereby to permit the nut to be tightened or loosened and the relative positions of the plate to be adjusted. The plate may be of wood and the printing block is fixed to plate 1. If it is desired to change the position of the block when in the printing frame, e.g. for correct registration in multi-colour printing, the nut 6 is loosened and plate 1 adjusted to the new position, the plate 2 remaining in its original position in the frame. The nut 6 is then tightened.
