Abstract
815,090. Cutting by spark discharge. SPARCATRON Ltd. June 27, 1956 [July 14, 1955], No. 20405/55. Class 83 (4). A spark erosion electrode has a porous tip through which an electrolyte or dielectric bathing fluid flows, which fluid is introduced into the electrode through an associated conduit, the fluid flow through the electrode being confined by an impervious sheath surrounding the electrode. The electrode is of circular, rectangular or other section and is made from sintered brass, copper, tungsten or aluminium. The bathing fluid is filtered to prevent the pores being choked. Specification 637,872 is referred to.
