[Also in Group XI] A flexible electrically heated hosepipe comprises a heating conductor in the form of a continuous length of laterally corrugated flexible metal tubing 1, e.g. of bronze or copper, enclosed in an insulating sheath 2, e.g. of asbestos, glass cloth, bonded glass fibre, or silicone rubber, upon which is pressed a return conductor 3 constituted by a flat strip of braided metal wire. An outer insulating cover 4, e.g. of synthetic rubber is also provided.
