Class 39(3) A low temperature heating element comprises a deposit of carbon, preferably graphite, located, between two fibre glass laminae, 1 and 3, which are bonded together by, and impregnated with, a thermosetting synthetic resin. As shown, carbon deposits 2 extend over discrete spaced areas and are electrically connected by metallic strips 4, e.g. of sprayed zinc. Further metallic strips 5 in contact with the endmost deposite serve as conducting leads for the supply of electricity to the element,
