[Also in Group VIII] Electrical resistances may be used to heat a heat sealing device which includes a member of heat conducting metal the pressure surface of which is covered at least in part with a heat-conducting resilient material. As shown 5 and 6 are the upper and lower jaws of a heat sealing device. Heaters are located in the openings 7 and 8 and the surfaces 9 and 10 are covered with heat-conducting resilient material 12.
