591,519. Recording apparatus. KELVIN, BOTTOMLEY, & BAIRD, Ltd., and TURNER, P. J. A. May 10, 1945, No. 11787. [Class 106 (iv)] An electrically-heated stylus 10 is formed by a loop of wire 12 fixed to a strip of flexible material 11, such as mica, carried by an insulating block with terminals to which the end of the wire 12 are connected by hair springs. When current flows, the stylus 10 is heated and also the strip 11 and wire 12 which act in the manner of a bimetallic strip and so move the stylus toward a recording surface.
