813,208. Injection-moulding machines. KABUSHIKI KAISHA MEIKI SEISAKUSHO. Nov. 26, 1956 [Dec. 9, 1955], No. 36122/56. Class 87(2). The invention concerns an injection-moulding machine having a quickly detachable injection cylinder. The injection cylinder 5, with heating and cooling means 20, 21, is slidably mounted in a machine frame 3 by a key 10 and has a shoulder 13 abutting the frame 3 and a rearward extension 5<SP>1</SP> having an externally threaded portion 11. A worm wheel 12 rotated by a worm 16, is internally threaded to engage the threaded portion 11 and is held against longitudinal displacement by a cap 14. Thus rotation of the worm wheel 12 longitudinally displaces and detaches the cylinder 5 from the frame 3. Granular material is fed to the cylinder 5 from a hopper 1 by a reciprocating feed device 2 actuated by a piston 7 operating in the cylinder 5 to inject the material into a mould.
