813,174. Gas cooking stoves. RYAN, A. W. July 19, 1956 [July 21, 1955], No. 21072/55. Class 126 A line of gas jets A is provided along the back of the hot plate of a gas cooker so that pans and cooking vessels brought to the boil over the gas rings can be kept hot or simmering clear of the normal cooking surface. The line of gas jets is divided into unequal parts, the parts being supplied from opposite ends and controlled by different taps. Extensions D may be provided at the sides of the back of the top of the cooker. The oven door and door frame are so shaped that the door opens upon release of a bolt M accommodated within the thickness of the oven door and operated by a handle L, Fig. 2. The bolt handle L and gas taps are screened by a hinged flap E held in its closed position by a catch.
