Abstract

813,159. De-horning appliances. LARKIN Ltd., R. C. July 31, 1957, No. 24314/57. Class 81 (2). A de-horning appliance comprises a tubular heater, for application to the horn buds, projecting from a holder which is carried on a pistol-grip handle. The heater shown consists of a tubular member 4, having a flared end 6, and surrounded by an electrical heating element 7. This is supported in a tubular body member 8 by screws 5 which also serve for the attachment of a pistol grip handle 2. In a modification a heating member, in a protective metal tube, is coiled at the end of the tube 4, the outer part forming an annulus for application to the horn bud.
