Abstract
812,891. Centrifugal separators. NAYLOR, T. R. Dec. 6, 1955 [Dec. 6, 1954; May 9, 1955], Nos. 35217/54 and 13323/55. Class 23 [Also in Group XXIX] The wall of a hydrocyclone adjacent the underflow outlet increases in thickness towards the outlet, is made of wear - resistant material, and is constituted by a series of plates each having a central frustro-conical aperture. As shown rubber rings 27 are housed within a brass cap 21 threaded upon an aluminium spigot 20 attached to a flange 12 on the cyclone and containing a rubber block 24. One or more of the bottom rings are removed from the cap to increase the size of the outlet. In a modification a series of rubber plates are supported by four bolts passing through the flange. Dimensions are given in the Specification.
