Abstract
809,530. Concrete beams. KOLCZOK, L. J., and CONCRETE DEVELOPMENT CO. Ltd. June 27, 1957, No. 20353/57. Addition to 808,221. Class 20(4) In connections between pre-cast structural elements as described in the parent Specification comprising steel helices engaged in corresponding helical bores, anchorage means are provided for one or both ends of the steel helix. A beam 29 is connected to a column 30 by steel helices 31, 32 engaged in helical bores which open into the faces of the elements at 33. At these points the helical bore 34 is enlarged to provide a seating 36 for a washer 37 through which the end of the steel helix 38 extends, being screw-threaded to receive a tensioning nut 39.
