809,321. Yarns and threads. DUNLOP RUBBER CO. Ltd. May 12, 1955 [May 28, 1954], No. 15779/54. Class 120(3) A composite yarn comprises doubled yarns each consisting of a core of one or more continuous filaments e.g. of regenerated cellulose, nylon or polyethylene glycol terephthalate, which may constitute 50-90 per cent by weight of the yarn and around which is spun a layer of staple fibres, e.g. one of the above-mentioned materials or cotton. In the core-spinning process the staple fibre is passed in roving form through a series of drafting rollers, the filament core is introduced at the front roller and th fibre and filaments intertwisted. The yarn may be coated with a latex resorcinol-formaldehyde composition. Specification 809,322 [Group IV(a)] is referred to.
