808,690. Cooling devices. SZEKELY, G., and KLOTSMAN, G. Nov. 21, 1956, No. 35546/56. Class 29 A cooling device comprises a hollow body charged with a freezing mixture and a metallic heat exchange surface in direct heat exchange on one side with the freezing mixture and on the other side with the substance to be cooled, the remainder of the device being of poor heat conducting material. Preferably, fins depend from the metallic surface into the freezing mixture. The device may be in the form of cup with a metallic inner surface, a plate with a metallic top surface, as shown a dish 21 with a hollow lid 26, or a lidded receptacle 31 of poor heat conducting material containing two plates 33 between the metallic surfaces which the substance to be cooled is placed.
