Abstract

808,449. Cathode-ray tube mountings. PYE Ltd. Aug. 21, 1957 [Aug. 21, 1956], No. 25567/56. Class 40 (7). A television receiver rectangular cathode-ray tube is secured between an apertured plywood panel 1 and a sheet-metal bracket 12 by tie-rods 16 and hook bolt 18; tension is applied by means of wing-nuts 16a. The bracket carries the deflector coil assembly 19 which may be centred using the wing-nuts. The panel may have holes (see Fig. 1, not shown) to accommodate control spindles and may form the front of the receiver cabinet, an implosion guard being fitted over the exposed tube face. A rubber ring 14 is interposed between the bracket and the tube bulb. More than three tie-rods may be provided.
