A conduit fitting having a base 3 and side walls 6 which form a U-shaped opening 8 is provided with a screw-threaded pin 2 inset from the side walls and fixed to the base and with a cover-plate 5 having a hole 4 through which the outer end of the pin may pass so that the plate may be secured by a nut. The edges 7 of the plate 5 may be shaped to engage the walls 6 to prevent rotation of the plate on the pin.
