Abstract

807,055. Rotary pumps. VUCSAN, M. Feb. 15, 1957 [Feb. 25, 1956], No. 5269/57. Class 110 (2). A reversible rotary pump comprises a screwthreaded member 9 which is non-rotatably mounted in a correspondingly-shaped stator 1 by two bands such as 13 (see also Fig. 2, not shown), and is journalled on a shaft 6 having an eccentric portion 6a for imparting the requisite movement to the said member 9. The pump is provided with a rubber or nylon band 17 around the screw-threads of the member 9. Fluid in the spaces 18, 19 is re-circulated to the inlet conduits 15 or 16 through check-valves 22, 22a, according to the direction of rotation of the pump.
