A fine-tuning device for a stringed instrument such as a guitar or mandolin comprises a bell-crank lever 8 pivoted to a support 2 secured to the string-holder 1. When a screw 9 is turned the bell-crank is rotated to adjust the tension of the string 10. A support 16 of sheet metal may be secured to a stirrup 15 and carry several bell-cranks 20 for a like number of strings.
