Abstract

The attachment for a guitar includes a base on which the guitar (13) is supported by its neck (13) on a block (7) and by a screw fitting (9, 10). The base extends beyond the neck of the guitar, and has a further support (3) on which additional base strings (4) are held by pegs (6). The base strings lie over the top of the guitar sounding box parallel and to one side of the normal strings. They pass over an auxiliary bridge (11) and are held at the lower end of the guitar by a frame (5). This is attached to a braced arm (2) mounted on the base board.
