805,152. Planing; machine-tool details. WALDRICH G.m.b.H., H. A. March 30, 1955 [April 9, 1954], No. 9273/55. Class 83 (3). A planing or plano-milling machine or a vertical lathe comprises two columns having front-Walls 11 inclined to the front-plane of the columns at an angle corresponding to the shape of the back of the beam 8, which diminishes in cross-section towards its ends. The beam slides on guide-surfaces 12 and is clamped at 14 and by pincer-clamps 28. The tool-slide 23 may be used on either column, the dovetail 25 then co-operating with a dovetail 26 on the column. The columns are joined by a crossmember 29 which does not impede the movement of the beam 8. Specification 805,151 is referred to.
