Abstract

803,935. Dynamo-electric machines. SPERRY GYROSCOPE CO., Ltd. Feb. 7, 1957, No. 4239/56. Class 35. [Also in. Group XXXIX] Two rotors 17, 18 rotate on parallel axes in opposite directions, in the fields produced by two permanent magnets 15, 16 each rotor lying between the north pole of one magnet and the south pole of the other. Each rotor operates as a D.C. motor and is preferably run unloaded, the armature windings being connected either in series or parallel the whole arrangement being used to simulate a large condenser (see Group XXXIX).
