Abstract
803,907. Motor vehicle driving gear. WARN, A. M. Jan. 22, 1957 [Oct. 8, 1956], No. 2271/57. Drawings to Specification. Class 79(2) [Also in Group XXIV] In a four-wheel-drive motor vehicle, each of the hubs of the front wheels contains and is driven through a jamming roller free-wheel clutch (see Group XXIV) allowing automatic take-up of drive in both directions and overrunning in both directions. The free-wheel clutches can be locked solid by manual rotations of externally accessible hub discs. The axle supporting each front weel is connected to a universal joint.
