[Also in Groups XIX and XXIV] Movement of the reaction ring gear 44 of an epicyclic train between the engine and propeller of an aircraft is utilized to indicate negative torque or feather the propeller on failure of the engine and consequent " windmilling " of the propeller. The movement of the ring gear against a spring device is transmitted by a rod 190 and bellcrank 198 to a plunger 220 which actuates an indicating instrument or control mechanism 223.
