Abstract

801,490. Transistor amplifying circuits. TELEFUNKEN G.m.b.H. Dec. 15, 1955 [Dec. 16, 1954], No. 35964/55. Class 40 (6). In a common emitter circuit a negative feedback resistor R1 is inserted in the emitter lead to maintain more nearly constant the ratio of collector current to base voltage. The base of the transistor is returned to ground through a resistor R2 to maintain the effective resistance between base and earth constant. This resistor may be partly or wholly the output resistance of the driving source. The resistor R1 may be part of the emitter stabilizing resistor.
