800,537. Yarn tensioning devices. BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. Nov. 8, 1955 [Nov. 8, 1954], No.31901/55. Addition to 755,588. Class 120(2) The tension device of the parent Specification is modified in that below the yarn entry guide element there is provided a magnet which is so disposed with relation to the second wire leg that in operation the part of the second wire leg adjacent the magnet describes a smaller circle about the guide element when the speed of rotation of the yarn guide drops owing to yarn breakage and that the magnet extends outwardly approximately to the circumference of this smaller circle. Thus on yarn breakage the wire tensioning means is brought to a stand still and held fast by the magnet. In the arrangement shown 2 indicates a permanent magnet having a nose like projection 3. Fig. 1 shows the device during normal operation and Fig. 2 shows the yarn entry guide 5 attracted and held by the projections 3 of the magnet after a yarn breakage.
