Abstract
800,469. Watch bearings. MONTRES ROLEX S.A. Oct. 5, 1956 [Oct. 7, 1955], No. 30457/56. Class 12 (1). In a watch bearing comprising an end stone 5 and a pierced jewel 3 mounted in a setting 2, an annular oil reservoir 9 of V-shaped cross-section is provided between the end stone 5 and the setting 2, the reservoir being accessible from outside the bearing and communicating, through capillary passages, with the space between the end stone 5 and pierced jewel 3. A disc 6 is located between the stone 5 and jewel 3 and has a frusto-conical wall 6a which extends into the reservoir 9 and facilitates the retention of the lubricant therein. Radial apertures are provided in the disc 6. Alternatively the disc 6 is omitted and capillary passages 13 are provided in the setting.
