Abstract

799,521. Cardboard containers and closures therefor. TREPUR, Ltd. March 11, 1957 [March 26, 1956], No. 9387/56. Classes 66 and 125(3). The cardboard sidewalls of a container 10 are formed of inner and outer layers 11, 12 respectively glued and stitched together as at 13, 14, a floor member 17 being secured in an annular groove 16 and a steel reinforcing ring 18 being rivetted to the lower edge 19 of the cylindrical wall. The floor may be raised to the height 20 or a second floor located at this height. The outer wall is cut away at its upper edge to form bayonet slots 21, 22, &c. which are engaged by studs 32 of a lid 24 having a cylindrical wall 26 within which are secured a ring 25 and another ring coaxial therewith by means of gluing and stapling or stitching as at 27, 28 the rings being spaced apart to form an annular groove 29 seating a top member 30, a steel reinforcing ring 31 being also rivetted to the cylindrical wall 26.
