Abstract

797,584. Packages. RADO, L. July 13, 1954 [July 15, 1953], No. 19698/53. Class 94(1). A fluid-filled thermoplastic container having end seams 2 and 3, Fig. 1, has one end seam formed with a small compartment 4, which communicates with the body of the container through a narrow passage 6, and inclined slits 5, 5a on either side thereof, whereby the portion of the seam enclosing the compartment may be twisted and torn off and the contents of the container expelled through the passage. In a modification, Fig. 2, the seam has curved portions embracing part of the compartment, the slits being similarly curved, and in a further modification, Fig. 3 (not shown) a similar compartment and slits are formed in a webbed side wall of the container.
