Abstract

797,463. Injection-moulding machines. WUCHER, R. April 18, 1956 [July 1, 1955], No. 11766/56. Class 87(2). A carrier for moulds comprises three elements pivotally connected together and engageable around a mould to hold it in moulding position, the carrier being disengageable from the mould to enable the latter to be withdrawn. As shown, the carrier comprises two box-like parts 10, 11 open at one side (the right-hand side as shown) and pivoted together at 17. A third part 12 is pivoted at 18 to the part 10 and carries a locking lever 20 which engages a lug 22 on part 11. The carrier is mounted on the rotary table 30 of an injection-moulding machine, and a mould M is located within the carrier by adjustable plates 24 and screws 31, 32. The part 12 carries an injection gate 25 the orifice 26 of which registers with the mould entrance, and is formed with a recess 27 with which engages the nozzle or valve 28 of an injector. The locking means 20, 22 may be supplemented by further locking levers mounted on parts 10, 11.
