796,255. Friction clutches. AKT.-GES FUR UNTERNEHMUNGEN DER - UND STAHLINDUSTRIE. July 27, 1956 [July 30, 1955], No. 23282/56. Class 80 (2). The radial oil grooves of a steel disc for a friction clutch have each a sharp edge and a blunt edge. A steel disc 1 for a clutch of the friction or freewheel type has oil grooves 2 which have a substantially triangular section. The grooves are formed with a sharp edge 3 to cut through the oil film on a disc 5 for rapid engagement, and a blunt edge 4 to allow development of the oil film on overrunning.
