Abstract

796,174. Two-part couplings. ELECTRICALS, Ltd., and SHORTT, J. S. Sept. 10, 1956 [Sept. 20, 1955], No. 26838/55. Class 38 (1). A plug comprises a casing 10, an insulating contact-carrying body 11 and a closure disc 18, screws 26 surrounded by spacers 27 securing the body 11 and disc 18 to the flange 22 of a cable gland 23 which grips the cable armouring 25 and is secured to the casing by screws 30 screwing into a flange 29. A projection on the gland flange 22 registers with a recess in the casing (Fig. 3, not shown), and an aperture closed by a plug 33, is provided in the casing so that a sealing medium may be introduced into the space between the body 11 and the gland 23.
