Abstract

A concentrated liquid fertilizer containing agronomically available nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is stabilized against crystallizing out at low temperatures or on standing, and against precipitation when diluted with tap water, by having the major part of the potassium present as the acetate salt. The composition may contain up to or exceeding 10 per cent of potassium, calculated on K2O, and the potassium is preferably added to the mixture as the carbonate or some such compound that will undergo ionic exchange with acetate ions when acetic acid is also added to the mixture. Magnesium may also be present in the mixture.
