Abstract

795,649. Scarifiers. FORTE, H. A. Jan. 23, 1957, No. 2470/57. Class 107. A scarifier tooth assembly for detachably securing to a bulldozer mouldboard comprises a standard in which the tooth shank fits, the standard having a clamp at the top to engage the upper edge of the mouldboard, and a pivotally supported saddle towards the bottom to receive the lower edge of the mouldboard. The standard S receives the shank of the tooth T which is held in one of a number of positions by a pin 15 engaging in an appropriate recess 17. The saddle D is pivoted on a pin P so that it engages the blade B of the mouldboard M at the correct angle. A clamp A is mounted for semi-rotational movement to engage the bar R on the top of the mould-board, the whole assembly C being pivoted at 16 to the standard. A bolt 34 threaded into a swivelling bush 39 mounted in the standard passes freely through a further swivel 35 so that on rotating the bolt clockwise the distance between the bush 39 and swivel 35 is shortened and the clamp A pulls the standard up against the mouldboard.
