Abstract

794,836. Revaporization of liquefied gases. BRITISH OXYGEN CO., Ltd. July 5, 1956 [July 7, 1955], No. 19718/55. Class 8(2). Apparatus for vaporizing low boiling point gas, e.g., nitrogen comprises a discharge line 12 of an insulated container 10 leading to a valve 13 serving to divide it into one portion which is vaporized in a coil 40 and into a second portion which traverses a line 14 after which it is joined by the vaporized portion in a line 29 which includes a thermostat 20 for controlling the valve 13. The line 29 discharges into the space above the level of petrol in a tank 41, and the container 10 has a conventional pressure build-up circuit including an evaporating coil 34. In a modification the evaporator coil is heated electrically ; the circuit including a switch controlled by the thermostat.
