Abstract
792,584. Suction boxes of Fourdrinier papermaking machines. ONTARIO PAPER CO., Ltd. Jan. 24, 1956 [Dec. 27, 1955], No. 2296/56. Class 96. A suction box 2 of a Fourdrinier paper-making machine has bars 8a, 8b extending at rightangles, or obliquely, across its mouth to provide scraping edges 9 to aid in removing white water. The bars have flat portions 10 supporting the wire-cloth 1, and trailing portions 11. The bars may be bridged at intervals, as at 7.
