Abstract

791,460. Gas meters. RADIATION, Ltd. Nov. 12, 1956 [Nov. 10, 1955], No. 32214/55. Class 54. A dry-gas meter is arranged with the flag arm 2 of each of two diaphragms pivotally connected both to the gas-flow measuring mechanism and a valve rod 4, the connection to the latter providing means enabling the phase of the valve motion to be advanced or retarded relatively to the flag arm. The flag arm 2 is provided with an eccentric mounting 7 for a link 6 which has a pin-and-slot engagement 5 with a link 1 connected with a crank mechanism 3. An extension 1a of the link 1 is pivotally connected at 1b to the valve rod 4. The desired variation of phase may be effected by adjusting the eccentric 7.
