696,044. Weighing apparatus. VANDOME & HART, Ltd. June 19, 1952 [Aug. 22, 1951}. No. 19770/51. Addition to 592,449. Drawings to Specification. Class 143. In weighing apparatus of the type described in the parent Specification, comprising a torsion strip as resistant connected to the weight indicator. by flexible tape, temperature variations are compensated by. mounting the torsion strip transversely between end bars spaced by metal spars of low heat capacity having an expansion with temperature of the same order as that of the strip. The spars may be thin metal tubes forming with the end bars a rectangle mounted in upstanding apertured arms through which the spars pass, connected to one arm by set screws: The torsion strip extends through the bars and is attached at one end to a tensioning bar operated by screws, at the other end being anchored by a transverse pin. Over or under correction may be applied to compensate also for temperature expansion of the tape centrally connecting the strip to the indicator,
