791,116. Fibre drafting apparatus. SCHLEIFER, C. July 6, 1954 [July 23, 1953], No. 19810/54. Classes 120(1) and 120(2) A drawing unit which has one or more rollers 5 yieldably pressing on a belt 4 and one or more guide elements, such as rollers 6, co-operating with the belt near a reversing bar 8 also has the belt driving roller 7 provided with two axially spaced collars 12 upon which the belt 4 rides so as to be yieldable between the collars. The roller 7 drives the belt at a speed which is equal to or slightly greater than the peripheral speed of the feed rollers 1, 1<SP>1</SP>. The drawing unit is preferably employed in conjunction with rubbing leathers 3, 3'. A further belt may operate on and in conjunction with the lower belt 4.
