Abstract

789,637. Rotary motors. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. Jan. 24,1956 [March 7, 1955], No. 2359/56. Class 110 (2). An air motor of the outwardly-sliding radial vane type is provided with a centrifugal governor 31, 32 for controlling the movement of a valve 24 and hence the flow of pressure fluid to the motor through a conduit 23, 23a. The nozzle 23a is adjustably positioned by a fitting 27 and is locked in place by a locking device 28, 28a. The housing of the governor is made of steel and is provided with a brake band 35 for the governing mechanism and an aluminium plug 40 for manually adjusting the supply of pressure fluid.
