Abstract
A laminated material for facing dentures comprises a pair of joined laminated sheets of translucent, polymerised plastic material having there between randomly-disposed fibres coloured to simulate veins. The sheets, which may be flesh-tinted, may be of fully or partly polymerised vinyl copolymers or polymethyl methacrylate. The fibres, which may be red or purple, may be of viscose rayon or a vinyl chloride-acrylonitrile copolymer. The sheets are united by hot-pressing after the fibres have been disposed between them. The laminated material is used to line the buccal, labial, and, if desired, the lingual surfaces of a denture mould, which is then filled, e.g. with a mottled, flesh-tinted plastic material by injection or ordinary press-packing methods. The denture is then moulded using heat and pressure.ALSO:A laminated material for facing dentures comprises a pair of joined laminated sheets of translucent, polymerized plastic material having therebetween randomly-disposed fibres coloured to simulate veins.
