Class 100(4) A printing device of the type claimed in Specification 786,024 is made in rotatable form with the printing elements on its circumferential surface. The method of building up a character is as described in the above Specification excepting that the bringing into operation of successive printing nipples is by rotary instead of longitudinal movement. A plurality of side-byside printing elements may be used for multi-column printing or a single element may be moved laterally relative to the paper in order to print in successive columns.
