785,712. Percussive tools. JOCHUMS, A., and WITTKOP, E., [trading as HAUHINCO MASCHINENFABRIK G. H. JOCHUMS & CO.]. June 25, 1954 [March 13, 1954], No. 18674/54. Class 124. In a pneumatic percussive tool lateral arms 5, 6 of the handle 4 are connected by a resilient plate-like part 9, and two conical or cylindrical pins 46 arranged one on each side of the longitudinal axis of the cylinder 1 and passing through the part 9 (or through a stirrup mounted thereon) serve to secure the handle releasably and non-rotatably to the cylinder sleeve 3. The pins may be pressed directly into the sleeve or into flanges 11 on the end of the sleeve. The part 9 may be rectangular or circular and may have a spherical thickening 47 to engage a corresponding recess in the sleeve. An extension 13 on the arm 5 engages between flanges 14 on the sleeve, whilst the arm 6 engages over a cylindrical extension 15 of the sleeve. The parts 5, 6, 9 are formed integrally with a top part 7 which houses a trigger 8 operated by the palm of the hand. The parts 5 ...9 may be made of soft or medium-hard natural or synthetic rubber, and the sleeve of aluminium alloy.
