Abstract

A nickel plating bath comprises an aqueous solution of nickel ions and hyprophosphitic ions and aliphatic alpha- or beta-aminocarboxylic acid and/or a salt thereof. The acid may be amino-acetic, alpha-aminopropionic, beta-aminopropionic, alpha-aminobutyric, aminosuccinic, iminodiacetic, iminotriacetic or ethylenediaminotetraacetic. Specifications 761,556, 761,567, 785,693 and 785,694 are referred to.
