Abstract
Gold is recovered from dilute aqueous solutions of gold (111) salts by contacting with a poly Schiff's base having at least 10 units: <FORM:1089148/C6-C7/1> A complex is formed from which gold may be recovered by treatment with an acid, with NaCN or KCN or by heating the complex, e.g. at 250-600 DEG C.ALSO:Gold is recovered from dilute aqueous solutions of gold (III) salts by contacting with a poly-Schiff's base having at least 10 units <FORM:1089148/C1/1> A complex is formed from wherein the gold may be recovered by treatment with an acid, e.g. HCl, in the form of gold chloride.
