Abstract

A pigment dyestuff printing paste for fabrics contains a styrene-butadiene copolymer binding agent (50-90 per cent styrene and 10-50 per cent butadiene) and also an ammonium salt non-injurious to the fibres. Ammonium acetate nitrate, carbonate, bicarbonate, thiocyanate, oxalate and diammonium phosphate in amounts of 0.5 to 5 per cent of the paste may be used. In examples, compositions comprising an emulsion of lauryl polyglycol ether, white spirit and water, to which is added pigment, an aqueous dispersion of a butadiene-styrene (60/40) copolymer and a solution of ammonium thiocyanate, nitrate or acetate, are used to print a staple fibre material. After drying for three minutes at 140 DEG C., prints fast to washing or rubbing are obtained.ALSO:A pigment dyestuff printing paste for fabrics, contains a styrene-butadiene copolymer binding agent (50 to 90 per cent styrene and 10 to 50 per cent butadiene) and also an ammonium salt non-injurious to the fibres.
